Course duration
Basic Welding
The nominal course duration is one year consisting of two-
120 hour semesters.
Advanced Welding
The nominal course duration is one year consisting of two-
120 hour semesters.
Welding Certificate to AS1796
Nominally 120 hours over one semester; this could vary
depending on the prerequisite modules required.
Entry requirements
Students should have completed the appropriate
prerequisite modules or have relevant industry experience.
There are no formal prerequisites for Basic Welding.
