Australian Institute of Banking and Finance<br />

The Australian Institute of Banking and Finance accepts<br />

the Bachelor of Business degree as an approved degree for<br />

the purpose of Affiliate membership of the Institute.<br />

Affiliate membership is a transitionary level leading to<br />

Senior Associate status. An Affiliate member is required to<br />

undertake specialist banking subjects to complete the<br />

educational requirements for Senior Associate status.<br />

Student membership of the Australian Institute of Bankers<br />

is open to all full-time students undertaking the Bachelor of<br />

The Foundation of Australian Manufacturing<br />

'. E <strong>Education</strong> (FAME)<br />

The Foundation of Australian Manufacturing <strong>Education</strong><br />

$ (FAME) will be offering graduate membership to<br />

<strong>Swinburne</strong> Bachelor of Business graduates. This will be<br />

based on completion of the Manufacturing Major (as<br />

described in the course structure section),plus three<br />

additional subjects .<br />

Manufacturing Management may also be taken as a minor,<br />

if after the major, the subjects will be as for FAME<br />

graduate accreditation plus one other subject if as a<br />

minor only (50 credit points as in Part1 in the course<br />

structure).<br />

~065 Bachelor of Business/Bachelor<br />

of Arts (Language) - double degree<br />

The Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Arts (Language) is of<br />

four years duration comprising of thirty-two semester<br />

subjects and is designed to enable students to complete the<br />

compulsory requirements for any business major and<br />

minor together with the full range of Italian, Japanese,<br />

Korean, or Vietnamese subjects in order to complete the<br />

requirements of two degrees.<br />

Degree structure<br />

Students must complete the core subjects of the business<br />

degree (seven subjects) and a major and minor chosen from<br />

one of the approved business specialisations (refer Bachelor<br />

of Business specialisations), a minimum of seventeen<br />

subjects; plus ten mandatory subjects equivalent to 11<br />

semester subjects from the chosen language; and elective<br />

subjects which may be selected from those offered in either<br />

the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Business specialisations<br />

(with the exception of AT119 Academic Communication<br />

Skills) or disciplines outside the Division by approval.<br />

Students should note that a maximum of twelve stage one<br />

subjects can be credited towards the Bachelor of Business/<br />

Bachelor of Arts (Language) and that in addition to the<br />

mandatory stage three language and area studies subjects a<br />

minimum of four stage three subjects must be completed.<br />
