Darren Golden T~LS prize is funded from the Darren<br />

Memorial Prize Golden Memorial Trust is<br />

awarded to the most outstanding<br />

student in the final two years of<br />

the Bachelor of Information<br />

Technology. The award is based<br />

primarily on academic merit but<br />

extra-curricular performance in<br />

areas such as leadership and<br />

contribution to course activities<br />

will be taken into account.<br />

School of Biophysical Sciences and Electrical<br />

Engineering<br />

Postgraduate At least one twelve-month<br />

and Instrumentation course<br />

based on the highest weighted<br />

average marks in final year. The<br />

award is sponsored by the School<br />

in recognition of Mr Kenneth<br />

Clarke, a former long service<br />

member of the Biophysics<br />

Advisory committee.<br />

The amount of $200 and a<br />

plaque are awarded to the best<br />

student in the final year of<br />

Psychology/Psychophysiology<br />

course based on the highest<br />

weighted average marks in final<br />

year. The award is sponsored by<br />

the <strong>Swinburne</strong> Centre for<br />

Applied Neurosciences (SCAN),<br />

a research centre within the<br />

school.<br />

This prize, valued in excess of<br />

$5000, including a plaque is<br />

awarded to the best student in<br />

the final year of Computing and<br />

Instrumentation course based on<br />

the highest weighted average<br />

marks in final year. The award is<br />

sponsored by Intergraph<br />

Corporation, a major supporter of<br />

our industry based learning<br />

program and employer of our<br />

graduates.<br />

School of Mathemati cal Sciences<br />

The ASOR Medal Awarded to the best final year<br />

(Australian Society of Operations Research student<br />

Operations Research) at the University, by the<br />

Operations Research Society of<br />

Australia on the recommendation<br />

of the School of Mathematical<br />

Sciences.
