<strong>TAFE</strong><br />
<strong>TAFE</strong> st<strong>and</strong>s for ‘Technical <strong>and</strong> Further Education’. <strong>TAFE</strong> institutions<br />
provide vocational training for students <strong>and</strong> offer courses at a<br />
professional <strong>and</strong> para-professional level covering diploma,<br />
certificate, apprenticeship, VCE <strong>and</strong> access programs.<br />
Tutorial<br />
A small class, usually no more than 25 students, where students<br />
discuss any issues raised in the lecture with a tutor. The tutor is<br />
either an academic or a postgraduate student.<br />

<strong>Course</strong>s that require at least three years of full-time postsecondary<br />
study.<br />
University<br />
An institution of higher education offering teaching at a tertiary<br />
