session, complete a Community Work<br />

<strong>Course</strong> overview<br />

The Diploma provides students with the<br />

knowledge <strong>and</strong> skills required to work as<br />

community development workers in a range of<br />

settings including working with groups who<br />

experience inequalities. It is necessary therefore<br />

that students who wish to work in this field<br />

underst<strong>and</strong> the origin of structured social<br />

inequality. Major studies include: community<br />

development theory <strong>and</strong> practice, social policy,<br />

sociology, research, political economy, group <strong>and</strong><br />
