may gain exemptions for some modules.<br />

<strong>Course</strong> overview<br />

This course covers the principles of operation of<br />

renewable energy systems such as indirect solar<br />

for heating of buildings <strong>and</strong> heat storage, radiant<br />

solar energy used for solar hot water, solar space<br />

heating <strong>and</strong> photovoltaic electricity <strong>and</strong> wind<br />

energy. The course also covers micro-hydro<br />

systems, solar biological energy <strong>and</strong> the use <strong>and</strong><br />

re-use of plant animal materials to generate<br />

energy.<br />

Career opportunities<br />

Graduates from this course will be employed as<br />

consultants that will be capable of designing,<br />

installing, commissioning, maintaining, operating<br />

<strong>and</strong> repairing renewable energy systems.<br />

Graduates will also have the skills necessary to<br />
