This program is aimed at high achieving students<br />

interested in the development of large, complex<br />

computer systems. It provides an extensive<br />

education in contemporary approaches to the<br />

analysis, design <strong>and</strong> implementation of such<br />

systems using state-of-the-art methods <strong>and</strong><br />

technology.<br />

Software development techniques: programming<br />

in Java <strong>and</strong> C++, object-oriented analysis <strong>and</strong><br />

design. Software engineering: software process<br />

modelling, formal methods, human-computer<br />

interaction, requirements analysis, systems<br />

design, software architecture, real-time systems,<br />

software validation <strong>and</strong> verification.<br />

Computer science: knowledge-based systems,<br />

data base, data communications, operating<br />

systems, concurrent programming, programming<br />

languages, team software development projects.<br />
