Course overview
This program is aimed at high achieving students
interested in the development of large, complex
computer systems. It provides an extensive
education in contemporary approaches to the
analysis, design and implementation of such
systems using state-of-the-art methods and
technology.
Major studies
Software development techniques: programming
in Java and C++, object-oriented analysis and
design. Software engineering: software process
modelling, formal methods, human-computer
interaction, requirements analysis, systems
design, software architecture, real-time systems,
software validation and verification.
Computer science: knowledge-based systems,
data base, data communications, operating
systems, concurrent programming, programming
languages, team software development projects.

Course overview
This double degree combines specialist studies in
Information Systems with a full Business Degree
leading to a choice of a generalist or specialist
career in the use of information technology (IT) to
solve business problems.
Major studies
Information Technology and Strategies, Data
Analysis and Design, Business Computer
Applications, Information Systems, Programming,
Data Communications, Software Engineering,
Advanced Application Development. Students also
undertake foundation studies across all Business
disciplines including: Accounting, Microeconomics,
Organisations and Management, Business Law,
Marketing, Quantitative Analysis. Students also
undertake a major sequence of study from the
Bachelor of Business.

Information Systems specialisations in areas such
as systems analysis, project management,
