<strong>Course</strong> overview<br />
Students gain a thorough underst<strong>and</strong>ing of<br />
science method, critical <strong>and</strong> creative thinking,<br />
information technology <strong>and</strong> statistics. A major<br />
study in one discipline of computing, psychology<br />
or interactive multimedia provides the foundation<br />
from which studies in other disciplines can be<br />
undertaken. The variety of disciplines allows many<br />
opportunities for students to diversify their studies<br />
in non-traditional areas such as accounting,<br />
marketing, media, sociology.<br />

<strong>Course</strong> overview<br />
This course provides in-depth studies of<br />
biochemistry, microbiology <strong>and</strong> molecular biology,<br />
as sciences that underpin biotechnology, <strong>and</strong> the<br />
application of these sciences in biotechnology. It<br />
also provides flexible options that allow students<br />
to take out major studies in chemistry, computer<br />
science, business, or media <strong>and</strong> communications.<br />

A computing major qualifies students for most<br />
entry level positions in the programming <strong>and</strong><br />
information technology fields. Psychology<br />
graduates may seek employment in the areas of<br />
human resources, social work, marketing,<br />
administration <strong>and</strong> research. Psychology<br />
graduates can also do further study in areas of<br />
professional psychology such as clinical,<br />
counselling, organisational <strong>and</strong> health <strong>and</strong> sports<br />
psychology. An interactive multimedia major<br />
qualifies students for most entry level positions in<br />
multimedia development, web page development,<br />
on line publishing for small businesses, <strong>and</strong><br />
desktop publishing.<br />
