goal is <strong>to</strong> educate campers on the fundamentals of<br />

technique, racing and training in the sport of swimming,<br />

while providing an opportunity for camaraderie with<br />

swimmers from all over the nation! Each swimmer will<br />

participate in 2 water workouts, one dry land workout,<br />

and an educational lecture each day. During the camp<br />

each swimmer will undergo a technical analysis and<br />

strength test in which the results will be sent home on a<br />

DVD and in a notebook. Our experienced coaching staff<br />

includes Head Coaches Dorsey Tierney and Ray Looze .<br />

Tuition is $525/week which includes room and board<br />

for the duration of the camp.<br />

Thru the Mind.” The Jack Nelson Swim Camp is the<br />

third longest-running camp in North America beginning<br />

in 1966 at Pine Crest School and moving <strong>to</strong> our current<br />

home in 1974. Learn <strong>to</strong> think and swim like a champion<br />

at the JNSC, home of the Fort Lauderdale Swim Team,<br />

12-time national champions of USA <strong>Swimming</strong>. The<br />

JNSC is located on beautiful Fort Lauderdale Beach,<br />

Florida at the world famous Fort Lauderdale Aquatic<br />

Complex, the finest outdoor facility anywhere. We offer<br />

our young people the best in positive thinking and<br />

positive strokes. Both Olympic & ASCA level 5 coaches<br />

Jack Nelson and Duffy Dillon lead the camp in two<br />

Olympic-size pools. Our campers stay within walking<br />

distance of the pool at a nice beach hotel, eat nutritious<br />

catered food, and are supervised 24-hours a day. JNSC<br />

features daily stroke sessions, long and short course<br />

training, a comprehensive dry-land session, and a<br />

classroom talk covering motivation, race strategy and<br />

nutrition. There is a social activity each day. We provide<br />

escorted pickup from and departure <strong>to</strong> the Fort<br />

Lauderdale International Airport. The camp is open <strong>to</strong><br />

boys and girls ages 7 <strong>to</strong> 18. Three training tracks are<br />

available: silver, gold and elite. A two-week minimum is<br />

recommended <strong>to</strong> experience the full camp program.<br />

Camp is limited <strong>to</strong> the first 60 applicants for each<br />

session. Cost is $695/week for boarding and<br />

Experience new levels of swimming success at the<br />

Lehigh University Camp. The camp focuses on<br />

improving stroke techniques, race strategies, nutrition,<br />

goal setting, advanced training skills and team building.<br />

The LU camp is for swimmers ages 9-17. Participants<br />

must know how <strong>to</strong> swim all four competitive strokes.<br />

Typical daily schedule includes morning workouts, two<br />

daily technique sessions emphasizing the latest stroke<br />

drills and techniques efficiencies and force application<br />

governing swimming. The day continues with<br />

videotaping analysis, lectures and motivational<br />

activities. Special evening sessions dedicated <strong>to</strong> starts<br />

and turns will cover all four strokes. Campers will be<br />

supervised 24-hours per day by coaches and<br />

counselors. Highlights: team building activities,<br />

movies, talent show. The Lehigh University Swim Camp<br />

is designed <strong>to</strong> teach advanced competitive swimming<br />

techniques. Costs; $480/residential camper (includes<br />

all meals), $440/commuter camper 9 a.m.-9 p.m.<br />

Catch the Olympic spirit! The 27th annual Longhorn<br />

Swim Camp is headed by 2004 Head Olympic and U.T.<br />

Men’s Swim Coach Eddie Reese, four-time Olympian<br />

and U.T. Women’s Co-Head Swim Coach Jill Sterkel,<br />

two-time Assistant Olympic and Co-Head Women’s<br />

Coach Mike Walker and five-time Olympic medallist .<br />

Josh Davis. Held at the Jamail Swim Center on the<br />

University of Texas at Austin campus for male and<br />

female competitive swimmers, ages 8 and up.The swim<br />

center includes a 50-meter by 25-yard pool, and a 25-<br />

yard by 25-meter pool. Four training groups based on<br />

age and ability, with a 1:7coach /swimmer ratio in<br />

stroke technique sessions offered. Training includes<br />

long course sessions Monday-Friday mornings, stroke<br />

sessions Sunday evening, and Monday-Thursday<br />

afternoon and evenings. Classroom sessions on<br />

technique and race strategies also held. Underwater<br />

videotaping of each camper analyzed by a coach. Daily<br />

social activities and field trips offered. Multiple week<br />

stays include weekend planned activities with<br />

supervision. Experienced, mature adults provide 24-<br />

hour supervision. All campers receive camp T-shirt.<br />

Cost: $445 per session for day campers —includes<br />

coaching, facility use, supervision, lunch and dinner.<br />

With Navy <strong>Swimming</strong> Camp entering our seventh year,<br />

expect even greater results upon joining us this summer!<br />

Our primary goal is <strong>to</strong> offer you the very best in individual<br />

instruction, camper experience, take-home material and<br />

safety and supervision.The purpose of our camp is <strong>to</strong><br />

provide you with an educational environment <strong>to</strong> learn<br />

about and develop the four competitive strokes including<br />

all related starts, turns and finishes. Navy <strong>Swimming</strong><br />

Camp is a stroke-intensive camp. The volume of training<br />

will be minimal with <strong>to</strong>tal emphasis on stroke<br />

improvement. Swimmers will receive individual attention.<br />

Additional pool sessions are offered <strong>to</strong> all who need <strong>to</strong><br />

maintain their conditioning while at camp. Each camper<br />

will receive a video that will have each of their four<br />

strokes. The video will include all strokes taped at the<br />

beginning and end of camp. Campers will receive daily<br />

instruction in dry land activities designed <strong>to</strong> improve<br />

individual fitness levels. Guest lecturers with experience<br />

in performance, training, goalsetting and leadership will<br />

highlight the evening programs. Campers will take in<br />

plenty of pertinent information throughout each day and<br />

should bring a folder, notepad, and pen. Campers will<br />

and train in an amazing environment on the Naval<br />

Academy beginning with Lejeune Hall; a 25-meter by 50-<br />

meter facility with separate diving tank. Camp is open <strong>to</strong><br />

all competitive swimmers ages 9-18. New in 2004 will be<br />

a boat cruise of the Severn River and a time trial meet. See<br />
