drive from Deer Lake Airport
(YDF). The Marine Atlantic ferry
from Sydney, NS, to Port aux
Basques, NL, crosses the
Gulf of St. Lawrence regularly.
If you live outside Canada, you
will clear customs in cities such
as Toronto, Montreal, Halifax or
St. John’s, then catch a connecting
domestic flight to Deer Lake airport.
You should be aware of customs
regulations.

Don’t wander around an unfamiliar airport. If you
are a first-year student, send your flight information
to study@grenfell.mun.ca and you will be greeted
at the arrivals gate by Grenfell staff when
you reach western Newfoundland.
