TSS analyses were made by filtering 100 ml of sampling through a microfilter (Whatman, GF/C
glasfaser microfilter). In order to force the sampling water through the filter, an air compressor
was used to create low pressure in the bottle receiving the filtered water (see Figure 7.2). The
filters were measured before and after filtering. To eliminate the weight contribution of water, the
filters were dried in an oven at around 110°C for one hour after filtering, but before final
measuring.
