<strong>Chapter</strong> 13 — Storage Management<br />

You can mange storage for recording. Run the SiRiS Setup program → Select the Service menu.<br />

NOTES:<br />

• USB hard disks, network hard disks and hard disks set to Dynamic cannot be used as storage.<br />

• When removing a hard disk drive that contains recorded video from the current NVR system and installing<br />

it in another NVR system or a recording server of SiRiS system, you cannot search or play back the video<br />

recorded on the original NVR system or recording server.<br />

• The total amount of storage for one NVR system cannot exceed 50,000 GB (max. 2TB per partition).<br />

• The C:\ drive is not used as storage.<br />

• The NVR system automatically allocates storage for recording to all hard disk drives except the C:\ drive<br />

when system boots.<br />

1. Select a recording service and click the button at the bottom. The Setup – Recording Service window<br />

appears. Select the Device Setup tab.<br />

The list of cameras registered on the<br />

current recording service is displayed.<br />

Clicking the Add button at the bottom<br />

allows you to register other cameras on<br />

the current recording service. Selecting<br />

a device and clicking the Remove button<br />

deletes the device from the current<br />

recording service.<br />
