Profiles<br />

Set up the profiles using the following procedures.<br />
Select a profile from the profile list. Clicking<br />
button allows you to add a new profile. → Set up<br />
media. See the explanation below for details about<br />
setting media. → Click the Apply button at the<br />
bottom. → The settings are applied, and the NVR<br />
system displays live video or records video based<br />
on the settings of the selected profile.<br />
• Video Source: Select the desired video source<br />
from the list of video sources supported in the<br />
device.<br />
• Video Encoder: Select a video encoder<br />
configuration. Clicking the See More button<br />
allows you to check the details of the selected<br />
video encoder configuration. Refer to Video<br />
(p. 108) for details about the video encoder<br />
configuration.<br />
• Audio Source: Select a desired audio source from the list of audio sources supported in the device. When<br />
None is selected, audio monitoring and recording for the device will not be supported.<br />
• Audio Encoder: Select an audio encoder configuration. Clicking the See More button allows you to<br />
check the details of the selected audio encoder configuration. Refer to Audio (p. 109) for details about<br />
the audio encoder configuration.<br />
• PTZ: Select a PTZ setting. When None is selected, PTZ control of the device will not be supported.<br />
Video<br />
• Source Configuration: Displays the source<br />
configuration information (Configuration: video<br />
source, Name: source name, Use Count: the<br />
number of profiles that use the source, Source<br />
Token: the number of tokens).<br />
• Encoder Configuration: Set up an encoder.<br />
− Video Encoder Configuration: Select a video<br />
encoder from the list of video encoders<br />
supported in the device.<br />
− Name: Assign a name to the selected video<br />
encoder.<br />
− Use Count: Displays the number of profiles<br />
that use the selected video encoder.<br />
− Encoding, Resolution, Quality: Select a video<br />
compression codec, video resolution and video<br />
quality. There might be restrictions on the<br />
frame rate depending on the device model when<br />
video is recorded with the H.264 codec and<br />
4CIF resolution if the device is a network video<br />
transmitter.<br />
− Frame Rate Limit: Select a maximum frame rate.<br />
− Encoding Interval: Select an encoding interval. The higher the value, the higher the bit rate and the<br />
worse the video quality.
