Editing Device Information<br />
Select Edit Device from the device menu.<br />
Information<br />
It allows you to change information for connection to<br />
the device.<br />
• Name: Edit the device name. You can use the same<br />
name for more than one device. By selecting the<br />
Disable Device option, the SiRiS program no<br />
longer considers the device registered in the<br />
administration service. Selecting Device Name<br />
Sync automatically updates the name based on the<br />
settings in the device (supported only for devices<br />
which use the SiRiS protocol).<br />
• Address Type: Select device’s address type.<br />
− Auto Scan (LAN): Allows you to enter the device’s<br />
mDNS number when you edit the device’s address.<br />
− IP Address: Allows you to enter the device’s IP<br />
address when you edit the device’s address.<br />
− DVRNS: If the device uses the DVRNS (DVR Name Service) function, this allows you to enter the<br />
device name which is registered on the DVRNS server when you edit the device’s address. The name<br />
should match the one set during the DVRNS setup in the device.<br />
− Domain Name: If the device uses the domain name service, this allows you to enter the device’s domain<br />
name registered on a DNS server when you edit the device’s address.<br />
• Address: Edit the device’s address based on the selected address type above.<br />
• Port: Edit the port numbers. The port numbers you enter should match the port numbers set in the device<br />
for remote connection (Admin), remote monitoring (Watch), recording (Record) and two-way audio<br />
communication (Audio).<br />
• ID, Password: Edit the user ID and password for connection to the device.<br />
• Connection Test: Click the button to test the connection to the device with the information entered above.<br />
• Live Protocol, Record Protocols: Select the protocol for monitoring or recording (supported only for<br />
devices which use the ONVIF TM Conformance protocol).<br />
• Live Profiles, Recording Profiles: Select a preset monitoring or recording profile (supported only for<br />
devices which use the ONVIF TM Conformance protocol). Refer to 11.3 Remote Setup of ONVIF TM<br />
Conformance Protocol Devices, Profiles (p. 108) for details.<br />
