Sunday School Curriculum <strong>Grade</strong> <strong>10</strong><br />
The Bad Model: The fall <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> first Adam was a bad example to all his children so <strong>the</strong> whole<br />
world corrupted. There was only one family that was <strong>the</strong> family <strong>of</strong> Noah <strong>the</strong> Righteous.<br />
II. The Nativity <strong>of</strong> Christ and <strong>the</strong> New Nature<br />
The Word took flesh and became Man to renew my birth and to reform what <strong>the</strong> devil<br />
corrupted to reconcile <strong>the</strong> heavenly with those on earth. He granted us all <strong>the</strong>se blessings and<br />
grace.<br />
Meekness<br />
The Lord emptied Himself and took <strong>the</strong> form <strong>of</strong> a servant. He was born in a manger to give us<br />
back what we lost through <strong>the</strong> pride pushed into our hearts by <strong>the</strong> devil.<br />
Obedience<br />
The Lord said: ―I delight to do thy will, O my God; <strong>the</strong> law is within my heart‖ (Psalm 40:8).<br />
In <strong>the</strong> Biography <strong>of</strong> St. John <strong>the</strong> short we hear <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> tree <strong>of</strong> obedience.<br />
Power<br />
The Power <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Lord Christ in <strong>the</strong> days <strong>of</strong> His incarnation appeared when He faced <strong>the</strong> devil<br />
on <strong>the</strong> mount <strong>of</strong> Temptation.<br />
Rising up<br />
The Lord descended from heaven and took flesh so it was necessary that He would ascend to<br />
heaven again after His resurrection so that He might raise <strong>the</strong> hearts <strong>of</strong> His children to heaven<br />
where Christ is sitting at <strong>the</strong> right hand <strong>of</strong> God (Mat<strong>the</strong>w 8:46).<br />
Love<br />
Greater love has no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13).<br />
With Love and through Love our fa<strong>the</strong>rs <strong>the</strong> martyrs <strong>of</strong>fered <strong>the</strong>ir life to that who loved <strong>the</strong>m.<br />
The good model<br />
With <strong>the</strong> Incarnation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Word we have <strong>the</strong> example <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> good model: ―Learn from me;<br />
for I am gentle and lowly in heart‖ (Mat<strong>the</strong>w 11:29).<br />
Conclusion:<br />
Sayings <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fa<strong>the</strong>rs:<br />
God is not information to be studied or history to be recorded but He is <strong>the</strong> One to<br />
meet and <strong>the</strong> life to be lived and a companion to live with (Yacoub Al Sinrougi).<br />
Today <strong>the</strong> seal <strong>of</strong> Godhead stamps <strong>the</strong> nature <strong>of</strong> humanity so that men may decorate<br />
<strong>the</strong>mselves with <strong>the</strong> nature <strong>of</strong> Godhead (Mar Aphram <strong>the</strong> Syrian).<br />
Applications:<br />
To develop <strong>the</strong> talents <strong>of</strong> my new nature by singing to <strong>the</strong> Lord, music, drawing, struggle<br />
through meek behavior- obedience- love- good model.<br />
Week 4 - Daniel<br />
Objective:<br />
To learn about <strong>the</strong> personality <strong>of</strong> Daniel.<br />
To learn from <strong>the</strong> example <strong>of</strong> Daniel as a spiritual youth in a foreign land.<br />
