The devil had a role in <strong>the</strong> temptation as he envied man after <strong>the</strong> devil separated from <strong>the</strong> life<br />
in heaven.<br />
The sin entered by arousing suspicion in <strong>the</strong> heart <strong>of</strong> man towards God and His love for man.<br />
IV. Fourth: The Consequences <strong>of</strong> Sin<br />
Fear <strong>of</strong> God: as he separated himself from <strong>the</strong> Divine love.<br />
He left <strong>the</strong> Lord and depended on o<strong>the</strong>r creatures - he hid himself among <strong>the</strong> trees.<br />
V. The Destruction <strong>of</strong> Man<br />
His unity with himself collapsed (His mind became dark - <strong>the</strong> instincts ruled over <strong>the</strong> will -<br />
<strong>the</strong> desire <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> flesh).<br />
His unity with o<strong>the</strong>rs collapsed (selfishness - spite - envy - hatred).<br />
His unity with <strong>the</strong> universe collapsed (earthquakes - disasters - wild animals - microbes).<br />
Conclusion:<br />
Every sin in its essence is disobedience to <strong>the</strong> will <strong>of</strong> God. It means that he refuses to be<br />
associated with Him as a son. The image <strong>of</strong> God has not been completely lost from man as he<br />
has kept in himself a mind and a will and tendency to do good - with <strong>the</strong> existence <strong>of</strong> contrast<br />
with evil things. The return <strong>of</strong> man to God is <strong>the</strong> realization <strong>of</strong> his loneliness and his<br />
reconciliation with himself, with people and with <strong>the</strong> universe.<br />
Applications:<br />
The servant discusses with his students <strong>the</strong> importance <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> work <strong>of</strong> grace and <strong>the</strong><br />
spirit in bringing man back to his first image.<br />
Ask <strong>the</strong> students what are <strong>the</strong> reasons <strong>the</strong> make us fall into sin<br />
