The traits <strong>of</strong> Christ‟s enemies (2 Timothy 3:1-8)<br />

Selfishness: Holding <strong>the</strong> form <strong>of</strong> religion.<br />

They give false teaching: They do not follow <strong>the</strong> ordinary system <strong>of</strong> addressing men in <strong>the</strong><br />

Synagogue but <strong>the</strong>y go into people‘s houses and gain control over weak women who are<br />

swayed by various impulses, who would listen to anybody and can never arrive to<br />

knowledgeable truth.<br />

They imitate <strong>the</strong> form <strong>of</strong> teaching: As Jannes and Jambres were opposed to Moses, so also<br />

<strong>the</strong>se people are opposed to <strong>the</strong> truth. They imitated all his works but <strong>the</strong>y used evil ways to<br />

falsify <strong>the</strong> truth.<br />

false teachers - He must endure troubles - do <strong>the</strong> work <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> preacher – Complete your<br />

services.<br />

Conclusion:<br />

St. Timothy was a youth with great understanding and wisdom in Christ. His example would<br />

be a great example for <strong>the</strong> Christian youth<br />

Write short notes on: Timothy - time and place <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> first Epistle and Key to <strong>the</strong><br />

Epistle - <strong>the</strong> topic <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> epistle.<br />

Show what is mentioned in <strong>the</strong> first epistle <strong>of</strong> Paul to Timothy about money and how<br />

Christianity views it.<br />

Young females should follow <strong>the</strong> teaching in <strong>the</strong> Epistle about <strong>the</strong>ir dress and staying<br />

away from unsuitable fashion.<br />
