The Surrey Nature Centre welcomes park
visitors in every season to stroll down
nature trails, explore the trees of the
arboretum, climb the giant berm and play
in the Pole Forest
Facility Rental
Have your next meeting or
gathering surrounded by nature
with forested trails and our historic
arboretum! There are three large
meeting rooms available, kitchen
facilities, rates vary per room.
Drop in Activities
Get involved in fun, free, nature
activities for individuals, small
groups or families. Stop by our
newly renovated building and pick up
materials to explore the wonders of
the outdoors! Drop in activities are
offered Monday through Friday during
opening hours.

Celebrate spring and get ready for
gardening season! Get ideas for your
outdoor space with various workshops;

Insect-O-Rama

Wiggly, slippery, fuzzy or shiny - how
do insects look and feel to you? Learn
about the little creatures that call Green
Timbers Park home and see some
amazing insects up close. Take home a
fun “bug” craft too! Rain or shine.
DISCOVERY BACKPACKS
Choose your backpack and head out for
an adventure! Each backpack contains
nature activities on themes ranging
from bird watching to terrific trees.
Backpacks are designed to be enjoyed
throughout the groups of the Surrey
nature Centre. Rentals are limited to
two hours.
Learn to Fish
Suggested donation of $5/youth
Registration required | Ages 5-15
Parent supervision is mandatory
Join the Freshwater Fisheries Society
of B.C. for a hands-on, educational
program and learn about fish
habitat and conservation, as well
as where, when and how to catch
fish! Equipment is provided and each
session includes time to fish on the
lake. Programs run on the Wednesdays
listed. Registration required, please
call the Surrey Nature Centre at
604.502.6065.

FISHING ROD LOAN
Borrow a rod, reel and tackle box and
journey over to Green Timbers Lake
or your favourite fishin’ hole to try
your and at fishing. A fishing license is
required for anglers 16 years and older.
Rentals limited to one week.

Enjoy a nature-themed birthday
party and have fun in the forest!
All parties include:
• Nature games in the forest
(weather permitting) or indoors
• Party leader
• Party room for 2 hours
Choose your theme from “Animals
of the Forest”, “Bird Adventures”,
“Bugs & Butterflies Galore” and
“Nature Discovery”
Please book your party a minimum
of two weeks in advance.
