2009. <strong>The</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice also assisted <strong>Court</strong> management in the design<br />
<strong>of</strong> a more robust safety and health program and facilitated the<br />
establishment <strong>of</strong> a safety committee, which meets monthly.<br />
Support for other courts throughout the state continued<br />
with <strong>of</strong>f-site performance management training and the<br />
administration <strong>of</strong> a salary survey.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Employee Events<br />
Committee is an internal<br />
committee <strong>of</strong> <strong>Supreme</strong><br />
<strong>Court</strong> and affiliated <strong>of</strong>fice<br />
staff whose mission<br />
is team-building and<br />
supporting functions<br />
not funded through<br />
taxpayer dollars, such as<br />
retirement receptions and<br />
the annual holiday party<br />
for Justices and staff.<br />
<strong>The</strong> committee organizes<br />
and orchestrates various<br />
competitions throughout<br />
the year, raising funds<br />
through entrance fees<br />
and sales <strong>of</strong> food donated<br />
by employees. Staff<br />
participate in and attend<br />
these events on their lunch<br />
hours and after work.<br />
Records Management Center<br />
<strong>The</strong> Records Management Section operates from the <strong>Court</strong>’s<br />
<strong>of</strong>f-site records storage facility. <strong>The</strong> center operates under a<br />
comprehensive records management policy for retention and<br />
storage <strong>of</strong> <strong>Court</strong> records.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Records Management Section in 2008 labeled, barcoded<br />
and entered more than 3,500 boxes and files into the<br />
<strong>Court</strong>’s records information management system. <strong>The</strong> Records<br />
Management Center also worked with the Office <strong>of</strong> the Clerk<br />
on a large-scale retention project, completed numerous public<br />
records requests, and recycled more than 7.4 tons <strong>of</strong> paper<br />
and electronic storage media in accordance with procedures to<br />
destroy records held beyond records-retention requirements.<br />
