<strong>The</strong> Administrative Division is the lead division <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>Supreme</strong> <strong>Court</strong>. In 2008, it consisted <strong>of</strong> the Office <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Administrative Director, the Office <strong>of</strong> Public Information and<br />
the Civic Education Section. <strong>The</strong> Administrative Division assists<br />
in developing and communicating the long-term vision, values<br />
and direction <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Court</strong> and the judicial branch <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ohio</strong><br />
government. <strong>The</strong> Office <strong>of</strong> the Administrative Director provides<br />
oversight to the other <strong>of</strong>fices within the division and to the<br />
other divisions <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Court</strong>.<br />
Office <strong>of</strong> the Administrative Director<br />
<strong>The</strong> Office <strong>of</strong> the Administrative Director assists in the<br />
response to emerging issues, including providing staff support<br />
for special projects, initiatives and task forces. <strong>The</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice<br />
also develops and maintains relationships with the General<br />
Assembly and monitors legislative activity on matters <strong>of</strong> interest<br />
to the <strong>Court</strong> and the judicial branch. Additionally, the <strong>of</strong>fice<br />
provides staff assistance to the Commission on the Rules <strong>of</strong><br />
Superintendence for <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Court</strong>s and the Commission on<br />
Rules <strong>of</strong> Practice and Procedure.<br />

the fourth annual Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Excellence Awards ceremony in<br />
the <strong>Court</strong>room, recognizing employees for years <strong>of</strong> service and<br />
outstanding pr<strong>of</strong>essional performance. <strong>The</strong> 2007 Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
