the industry knows how to produce excellent
windows, as examples. But politically, it has not
been popular to set ambitious energy targets
for new construction, even if every singly new
building could be a zero-net-energy building
with marginal extra cost.

policy practices to show you under this title
– yet. Please, make sure that the next edition of
this publication will have several!
No doubt, several countries have detailed legislation,
guidelines and certification systems
where energy efficiency is also considered. But
we’ll need to go far beyond business-as-usual
standards – and we’ll also have to make sure
that there is technical capacity and good governance
to secure the implementation.
