SUNYIT Students
Visit Greece
Efstathios G. Kefallonitis, assistant professor marketing, and four
SUNYIT business students visited Greece during the 2009 spring break,
taking part in an international academic exchange program.
“The exchange with the Technological Educational Institute of Athens
falls under a European program that supports exchanges between European
and international academic establishments,” Kefallonitis said. “This
offered a unique opportunity to host an exchange of faculty and students,
enriching our students’ intercultural competence and providing the basis
for exploring the international dimensions of the business field.”
From March 9-20, Kefallonitis and the four students – Jared E.
Avery, Kelly J. Jendrzejewski, Matthew C. Moore and Amanda D.
Wickes – visited Athens, while a Greek professor and students spent time
on the SUNYIT campus and visited several parts of New York State. The
exchange included both academic and cultural activities for participants.
