The science of seed placement
– from the ground up
Many air seeders rely on their frames for seed depth
control. As they bump and tilt over uneven ground,
the rigid openers attached to these frames leave
many seeds too deep in the soil and others lying on
the ground – no matter how flexible the frame –
resulting in a patchy, uneven crop and lower yields.
The Seed Master takes a “ground-up” approach to
offer the ideal conditions for fast-emerging and
uniform crops, whatever the soil types and seeding
conditions. Our opener is an active hydraulic shank
equipped with seed and fertilizer narrow knives, and
its own packer wheel at the trailing end. This unique
design allows each unit to perfectly follow the ground
contours – independent of the frame – and also offers
a progressive gentle trip when passing over obstacles.
That are the adavantages of the Seed Master concept:

that prevents soil drying, limits weed emergence, and
warms up faster than the rest of the seedbed ensuring
a quick start and strong seedlings

• Separate fertilizer placement at a safe, optimal
location beside the seed row – close enough for

precisely, regardless of hills and dips, and a choice
of settings
Whatever your aims, soils, climatic conditions, the
Seed Master Concept fits the requirements of every
crop producer.
• You are dealing with a long growing season: apply
a starter fertilizer at seeding to ensure perfect
emergence of your crop.
• You are dealing with a short growing season:
apply the totality of required nutrients for the crop
to accomplish its full growing cycle (one-pass
seeding system).

fertilizer efficiency to make every unit more profitable
to the crop.

Minimum establishment costs
to secure your profitability
In today’s context of fluctuating inputs and grain prices,
there is no other way than looking for the most cost
efficient cropping technologies. Cutting down
establishment costs has become a necessity to secure the
profitability of your farming operation year after year.
As a no-till drill, the Seed Master does not require
any preliminary soil preparation. Direct-seeding with
partial or complete fertilization in a single pass reduces or
simply eliminates later operations and related costs.
Thanks to the low-disturbance openers, the Seed Master
is renowned as a lighter-pulling air drill that reduces fuel
and power consumption dramatically. A 250 hp tractor
can pull a 12,2 m Seed Master drill at 8 km/h, covering
100 ha on a 15 hours working day. Our customers
usually record fuel consumptions as low as 6 to 8 l/ha.
Don’t rush, go wide. With huge working widths and tank
capacities, there is a Seed Master that meets your needs.
The high-performance workrates allow you to sow your
whole acreage in time, in the optimal conditions.
To get the best crops, you have to focus on the most
crucial task: seeding. Don’t spend time and money in
servicing. That’s why Seed Master Drills are nearly
maintenance-free, using openers without grease nipple
and long-life carbide protected knives. On a 12,2 m drill,
there are only 14 nipples to grease once a year, while
fertilizer and seed knives can respectively achieve up to
5.000 and 10.000 hectares.
Protected and more productive soils
With the Seed Master concept, Sulky proposes a full
farming system based on no-till, the most promising
technology to intensify crop production in a sustainable
way. That system is universally recognized for
preventing soil erosion, preserving valuable soil
structure, and increasing soil fertility.

Strong and simple frames
for long-lasting performance
The simplicity of our frame design is just as important
as the strength of the rugged steel beams we use.
Unlike many air drills, the Seed Master frame has
virtually nothing to do with depth control. So it
doesn’t require extra steel to support rigid shank
groups or provide enough weight for penetration,
and there are no complicated pivot points,
leveling, or lifting and lowering of the frame.
The unique bolt-together design makes our drills 100
% bulletproof but also easy to transport over long
distances and assemble on farm, providing you with
considerable savings on shipping costs.
The 150 & 210 models feature the exclusive Active
Wing Brace, a special hydraulic mechanism that
removes wing stress on wider frames as they pull
through the field for extreme durability. Even at a
19,5 meter width, our customers confirm the
unbeatable hardiness of Seed Master frames.

On-board tanks with precise
metering and gentle distribution
The main factor that limits the productivity of a seeding
operation is not driving speed but product refilling.
The Seed Master drills are fitted with high-capacity
on-board tanks and a high performance fill auger that
limits refilling frequency and related downtime.
The main reason the on-board configuration is used is
in keeping with the Seed Master’s commitment to
offering only the highest level of metering accuracy
and handling gentleness. That is only possible when
using an individual metering system and a direct
distribution “from meter to soil” for maximum seed
coat safety. The manifold splitting systems coming with
air carts are often responsible for seed coat damages
that significantly reduce the ability of seeds to
germinate.

Another direct advantage of on-board-tanks over towbetween
or tow-behind air carts is the excellent
maneuverability in and around yards, ease of
backing up, turning, and seeding corners of fields.
That configuration facilitates also drill storage.
To keep an eye on product metering delivery, our drills
are equipped with the Ag Cam video monitoring
including 4 cameras and a 7” monitor. This system
allows the driver to check directly from the cab that no
plugging occurs.

year’s stubble. It laterally adjusts the drill back into
alignment if the openers wander toward the stubble rows
