Chapter 2 Starting and Setting
Additional remark
AH500 series CPU modules are quipped with USB ports, serial ports, and Ethernet ports. Only
AHCPU5xx-EN series CPU modules are equipped with Ethernet port. Besides, the serial ports and
the Ethernet ports on AH500 series CPU modules can be set by HWCONIFG in ISPSoft. Please
refer to section 3.3.3 and section 3.3.4 for more information.
Compared with the serial port and the Ethernet port on an AH500 series CPU module, it is more
convenient to connect the USB port on the AH500 series CPU module to a computer. If users want
to connect a new CPU module to a computer, they can connect the CPU module to the computer
with a USB cable, set the serial port and the Ethernet port on the CPU module through HWCONFIG
in ISPSoft, and then download the communication parameters for the serial port and the Ethernet
port.
The default values of the communication parameters for the serial port and the Ethernet port on an
AH500 series CPU module are as follows.
• Serial port
