(2) Select AH Simulator in the Type drop-down list box in the Connection Setup section.<br />

(3) <strong>User</strong>s can type a communication port number specified. If it is not necessary to specify a<br />

communication port number, please use the default communication port number.<br />

(4) <strong>User</strong>s can select the number of times the sending of a command is retried if a connection error<br />

occurs in the Time of Auto-retry box, and select an interval of retrying the sending of a<br />

command in the Time Interval of Auto-retry box.<br />

Additional remark<br />

(a) Only one DVP simulator is allowed to be created. If users want to create the second DVP<br />

simulator, a warning message will appear.<br />

(b) <strong>User</strong>s can create several AH simulator. However, no more than eight simulators can be started<br />

simultaneously. Besides, users have to assign different communication port numbers to different<br />

AH simulators.<br />

(c) Only COMMGR version 1.01 and above support AH simulators.<br />

2.4.4 Creating a Connection─Starting/Stopping a Driver<br />

If users want to start a driver, they can select the driver on the COMMGR window, and click Start. If<br />

the status of the driver displayed in the window becomes START, the driver is started successfully.<br />

If users want to stop a driver, they can select the driver in the COMMGR window, and click Stop. If<br />

the status of the driver displayed in the window becomes STOP, the driver stops.<br />

Additional remark<br />

When users start drivers, they have to notice the following items.<br />

(a) If the same communication port number is assigned to different drivers, only one of these drivers<br />

can be started.<br />

(b) If a driver to which a communication port is assigned is started, other software which is not<br />

connected through COMMGR can not use the communication port assigned to the driver. If the<br />

software wants to use the communication port, users have to stop the driver.<br />

(c) If a communication port is used by other software not connected through COMMGR, a driver to<br />

which the communication port is assigned can not be started. If users want to start the driver,<br />
