HRxCT imagery shows that, despite color difference visible at ectotympanic/petrosal<br />

boundary (Fig. 2.38B’-C’), there is no internally visible density difference or sutural<br />

surface. However, tympanic canaliculus can be traced through medial process and<br />

appears to follow ectotympanic/petrosal boundary. Numbers and abbreviations: bs –<br />
