Each year, we turn to our alumni,
current and past parents, and friends to
support our general operating budget,
tuition assistance, and scholarships
through the Green & Gold Annual
Appeal. The monies raised ensure that
our tuition remains affordable, while also
sustaining our excellent academic
programs.
Every gift to the Green & Gold Annual
Appeal counts, no matter how large or
small. Considering that more than 40
percent of our students receive some
form of tuition assistance, while the cost
to educate each child exceeds the cost of
tuition by 15 percent, assuming every
child pays full tuition. Factoring in
tuition assistance and scholarships, we are
only covering 75 percent of the actual
cost to educate a student at STVM. This
is why YOUR gift is so vital.

Department Hits
the Road
The first stop was Findley, Ohio, where Joanne Zaratsian,
Director of Major Gifts, along with board member, Tim
Rickus VM80, paid a visit to Bill and Rita Gerraghty
Fitzgerald, both members of the St. Vincent Class of 1944.
The Fitzgeralds are long-time supporters of their alma mater,
including the Share the Vision Capital Campaign. They
recently celebrated 60 years of marriage by taking their four
sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren to St. Thomas for a
family reunion and anniversary celebration.
Both Zaratisan and Rickus were struck by not only the
Fitzgeralds incredible generosity, but also their dedication to
one another and to their family. “And to think it all began at
the top of the hill, at St. Vincent High School,” Zaratsian said.
Next stop NYC — The Big Apple fall 2008.
