Semi-finalists who were in the top percentage of all who took the<br />
National Merit Scholarship Test who have fulfilled additional<br />
requirements to qualify as finalists in the National Merit<br />
Scholarship competition.<br />
Celtic <strong>High</strong> Cross Award<br />
Taylor Wray & John Wilson<br />
The award is given to a graduating male and female student who<br />
has exemplified “Servant Leadership” throughout their four<br />
years at STVM. The students are identified by a review of their<br />
Christian Service records, which outlines the service they have<br />
performed and the leadership given throughout the community.<br />
A servant heart, one who serves another in the highest capacity,<br />
is one element of this award. Leadership is the other component.<br />
Leadership is expressed, in this instance, by the kind of service<br />
given throughout the four year experience.<br />

Named for <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Vincent</strong>-<strong>St</strong>. <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> graduates and<br />
educators John Cistone V50, legendary varsity football coach,<br />
and <strong>Mary</strong> Jo Chionchio V60, our most successful female coach,<br />
these awards are presented to the outstanding senior male<br />
and female student athletes. The recipients are exceptional<br />
athletes, have a minimum 2.3 grade point average, best exemplify<br />
leadership, sportsmanship, dependability, and character in<br />
their respective sports, and have displayed dedication and<br />
achievement in the classroom and a true commitment to<br />
<strong>St</strong>. <strong>Vincent</strong>-<strong>St</strong>. <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong>.<br />

The highest accolade that <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Vincent</strong>-<strong>St</strong>. <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong><br />
bestows on a senior young man and young woman who have<br />
cultivated the finest characteristics of a Christian young adult.<br />
These awards recognize two exemplary seniors who have<br />
demonstrated Christian values in daily living and outstanding<br />
leadership, character, scholarship, citizenship, and generosity<br />
in participating in school events. Nominated by the members of<br />
the Class of <strong>2009</strong> and selected by the faculty, these graduates<br />
exemplify the very best that <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Vincent</strong>-<strong>St</strong>. <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong><br />
