OUR CAMP PHILOSOPHY
Each camp participant will receive individualized instruction in all aspects of the
game of baseball as well as in-depth instruction hitting, pitching and fielding. Unlike
most camps, all campers will receive ample opportunity to perform during the camp
instead of waiting in long lines. Whether you have played the game of baseball for
years or have never played it before, each camper will leave at the end of the camp
with the confidence, knowledge and the tools in order to be successful at a
competitive level.

OUR HISTORY
In 1986, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School
was the first Summit County high school to
win a state championship in baseball.
Three years later, the Fighting Irish added
another state title banner to the
gymnasium. Today, the Fighting Irish look
to return to the tradition of excellence that
STVM baseball had throughout the 1980s.
As members of the Cuyahoga River
Baseball Conference, STVM competes
against the top teams in the state of Ohio.
Through hard work, determination and
dedication, the Fighting Irish are on the
correct path toward re-establishing
program success.

The Patterson Park Baseball Complex serves as the home field for the St. Vincent-St.
Mary Baseball Program. Patterson Park offers a great opportunity for us to have
multiple teams practice or play at one time because of the amount of fields that are
at the complex.
The Costigan Hitting Facility (located on STVM campus) was created in the winter of
2010, which houses a 70’x45’ hitting net that has three slide in/out 15’ hitting wells.
The facility offers the baseball team a place they can call their own and has been a
great asset to the program.
WHAT TO BRING
All players must have a fielding glove - a protective cup is recommended.
Baseball bats are not required, but our supply of youth bats is very limited, so
we highly suggest that you bring your own baseball bat (wood or aluminum).
Baseball pants or long pants (something light and comfortable – no jeans!) are
required due to sliding drills that we will be doing.
A pair of baseball cleats (metal or molded) - these are not required to have, but
either way always wear a pair of tennis shoes for days we have to go inside due
to the weather.
