Liver Research The Liver Research Group operates a four-stranded research programme based on Liver Transplantation, Hepatic Malignancy, Hepatitis C Viral Infection and Basic Immunology of the Liver. A successful transplantation program depends on a steady supply of donor organs. Our research is focused on trying to find out ways of preventing damage to the donor organ due to a lack of oxygen.
