TORRIX<br />
TORRIX is already being used successfully here:<br />

TORRIX is ideally suited for measuring in all non-adhesive liquids and<br />
almost all tank geometries. There is no need to adjust the sensor to<br />
the liquid or the shape of the tank. Another advantage is that there<br />
are no dead zones in the upper and lower areas. The starting point of<br />
the measurement is only defined by the size of the float; therefore the<br />
entire volume can be measured and used.<br />
When used with HART ® protocol, TORRIX can measure both the<br />
interface level and the overall level of a tank. Unlike sensors that<br />
operate on the guided microwave principle, the interface layer can be<br />
easily recognized even when emulsion is present.<br />
The TORRIX 6 with his probe diameter of 6 mm and float diameter<br />
of 27 mm is ideal for applications in smaller containers. Unlike most<br />
sensors, TORRIX measures in the upper and lower region with no dead<br />
zone with the threshold point defined only by the float. The TORRIX is<br />
ideal in applications where frequent changes of media are needed as<br />
it does not require adjustment.<br />
The TORRIX can be welded gas tight with any flange and reduce the<br />
potential for leaks in your system. This allows TORRIX to be used in<br />
processes with hazardous fluids such as ammonia.<br />

Acrylic glass manufacturing<br />
The level measurement capability of CONDURIX is not affected by<br />
buildup on the sensor so it can be used to measure the sticky and<br />
strongly adherent precursors in the manufacture of acrylic glass.<br />
Production of cream<br />
Similar to the acrylic glass manufacturing creams, gels and other<br />
strong adhesive media present a major challenge for level measurement.<br />
Once again, the CONDURIX is ideally suited to the applications<br />
because attachment of the media does not affect the measurements<br />
on the sensor.<br />
Bioreactors<br />
CONDURIX is easily cleaned and is available with a hygienic process<br />
connection making it ideal for measuring the level in aqueous solutions<br />
used in bioreactors. Another strength of the sensor is that it is<br />
already available from a length of 150 mm and at the lower end, has<br />
a dead zone of only 3 mm. The CONDURIX is therefore well suited for<br />
use in test and pilot plants.<br />
Wastewater treatment<br />
CONDURIX is ideal for level monitoring in wastewater treatment systems<br />
because the measurement is comprimised neither by dirt nor by<br />
crystallisation.<br />
Water detection<br />
For the monitoring of fluids, such as the detection of water in the<br />
filter system for aviation fuel, the CONDURIX can be successfully used<br />
since it will selectively measure only the conductive liquid (water).<br />

Tank Arm During Filling<br />
The <strong>FAFNIR</strong> overfill prevention solutions can be used in all storage containers.<br />
Whether it‘s a storage tank with a volume of over 1,000 litres,<br />
or several smaller containers, Fafnir has the appropriate overfill prevention.<br />
For hazardous liquids our LS 300 with the LS 500 is used. For nonhazardous<br />
liquids the 76 A comes with the NB 220.<br />
For safety reasons, many containers from a 1 litre bottle in the safety<br />
cabinet up to free-standing, large containers are placed in sumps.<br />
This is done to prevent escape of liquid into the environment in the<br />
event of a bottle breakage or leakage of liquid. A potential risk with<br />
this application is evaporation of the liquid causing an explosive<br />
atmosphere. By monitoring the tub with the LS 300 in combination<br />
with the LS 500, you will be informed of the escape of fluids.<br />
The LS300 with its probe diameter of 3 mm is ideal for use in the small<br />
glass containers used in pilot plants and prototype systems. Unlike other<br />
sensors, the LS 300 requires little space to install, has a lightweight head<br />
to minimise tipping and can have its electronics separately mounted in<br />
a cabinet.<br />
Additionally, the LS 300 overfill sensor is suited perfectly for use as a<br />
fill limiter or as an additional safety device used in combination with a<br />
flow measurement device for automatic filling of tankers or other large<br />
containers. The sensor is as flexible as the tank arm, requires little space,<br />
has a lightweight head and can have its electronics separately mounted,<br />
there is no need to build your system around a sensor, but instead<br />
the sensor can be built around your application.<br />

The acknowledgement unit extends the functionality of the LS 500<br />
and NB 220 H transducer with an acknowledgement function, acoustic<br />
alarm and additional optical alarm.<br />
Function description<br />
The acoustic alarm can be acknowledged and ended by pressing a<br />
button. The optical alarm remains active until the reason for the<br />
response is eliminated.<br />

The collective acknowledgement unit can connect to a maximum of<br />
8 transducers. The switch signal of an individual transducer from a<br />
cascade triggers an acoustic alarm.<br />
Function description<br />
The acoustic alarm can be acknowledged and ended by pressing a button.<br />
The optical alarm remains active until the reason for the response<br />
is eliminated. Upon retriggering, or triggering of a second transducer,<br />
the acoustic alarm is started again and can be acknowledged.<br />

In combination with the wall mounting 907 Z, our overfill prevention<br />
device (76 with NB 220) can be used as limit sensor for filling from<br />
a tank truck. The plug in the wall mounting serves as the counterpart<br />
for the 903 junction boxes usually found in the tankers. The wall<br />
mounting is connected to the relay output of the NB 220. This allows<br />
the overfilling to be signaled back to the tank truck.<br />
