IPG’s EAR-LP-SF Series is a line of universal
broadband, high power, linearly polarized,
single-mode fiber amplifiers covering the
spectral range from 1540-1600 nm. The series
includes 1-30 W versions. These user friendly
and highly efficient 19” rack mounted devices
are designed for maintenance-free
applications over a temperature range of 0°C
to 50°C. The EAR-LP-SF Series is optimized
for linearly polarized (LP), single frequency
(SF) input signals and can be used for a
variety of applications including coherent
beam combining, detection systems,
free-space communications and other
laboratory and in-field applications. IPG’s
EAR-LP-SF Series amplifiers do not need
water-cooling or replacement parts. and
require only 110/220V AC power source to
provide amplification for your low power
signal.
The standard EAR-LP-SF Series amplifier
provides amplification of linearly polarized
signals in the 1540-1600 nm region. Typical
bandwidth of the amplifier is 10-20 nm
(depending on output power) which allows
tunability of the input signal for exact
wavelength matching. Amplifier input and
output are provided by a 1-2 meter optical
fiber cable with connectors at the input and a
beam collimator (standard beam diameter is 1
mm) at the output. The standard amplifier has
a 25-30 dB input optical isolation and 100,000 hrs at 25°C.
