A hundred Easter eggs
to find on the Bancroft
A HUNDRED Easter eggs and two
golden tickets will be hidden on Stratford’s
Bancroft Gardens on Easter
Sunday.
Children are being encouraged to
come down to the Bancroft from
10.30am to try and find one of the
brightly-coloured plastic eggs. Inside
there will be a ‘Happy Easter’ message
and a little chick for them to keep and
when they give their egg to one of the
market stalls on Waterside, the child will
be given a chocolate mini-egg. Inside two
of them will be golden tickets and the two
lucky children who find them can
exchange them for a golden wrapped
chocolate Easter Bunny.
To make it fair and to include as many
children as possible, only one egg per
child may be redeemed.
The egg hunt has been set up by Stratford’s
town and district councils, alongside
the town’s market operator, Geraud,
and coincides with the start of the
summer craft markets, which will be on
Waterside every Sunday and bank holiday
between 10am and 5pm until September.
Town clerk Sarah Summers said: “It
provides the opportunity for us to say
‘thank you’ to our customers for supporting
all of Stratford’s markets.”
Shaping the county’s
autism strategy
PEOPLE living with autism, plus their families
and their carers, are all being asked to
shape Warwickshire’s strategy for dealing
with autism over the next three years.
Yesterday (Monday) members of a Stratford
Autistic group for adults met up at the
Springfield Mind centre in Drayton Avenue
to try and encourage people to get involved in
the consultation, which lasts until 31st May.
With World Autism Day next Tuesday, it
was the perfect time to speak to those living
with autism, their carers, service providers,
and professionals.

kind of support services would make a real
difference to their lives.
The Autistic Spectrum Adults Plus group
and their families got the ball rolling on the
consultation yesterday, but there are also two
online questionnaires, one for people aged 16
and under, and one for adults.
The ASA Plus group meets on the first
Wednesday of every month at Springfield
Mind and also tries to organise a social event
each month. The group has members from
across Warwickshire and the surrounding
area.
