27.15. OIL SKIMMER<br />
27.15.1. Oil Skimmer operation:<br />
27.15.1.1. The oil skimmer is designed to remove floating “tramp” oil from the<br />
surface of the fluid in the <strong>Chip</strong>BLASTER tank. The oil skimmer cycles<br />
on for 5 minutes and then is off for 10 minutes.<br />

BEFORE STARTING THIS OR ANY MAINTENANCE<br />
ON A <strong>Chip</strong>BLASTER UNIT MAKE SURE ALL<br />
POWER IS OFF TO THE UNIT.<br />
27.15.1.2. You will need a 9/16 wrench or socket and ratchet for this job.<br />
27.15.2. To replace worn belts is suggested the oil skimmer unit be removed from the<br />
tank.<br />
27.15.3. Remove the belts from the lower set of idler wheels that are normally inside the<br />
reservoir tank.<br />
27.15.4. Loosen the four 3/8-16 bolts that hold the shaft in place.<br />
27.15.5. Lift the end of the shaft and remove belts.<br />
