Free shuttle service to and from the Main Campus, Ballston Center, and the Ballston<br />
Metro Station (Orange Line) is offered to all employees. Parking regulations and shuttle<br />
schedules are available from the Office of Campus Safety. <strong>Marymount</strong> assumes no<br />
responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles and contents while on <strong>University</strong> property.<br />
Alternative Transportation/SmarTrip Benefits<br />
<strong>Marymount</strong> encourages the use of alternative transportation methods to reduce traffic<br />
congestion and pollution. Employees who regularly use the Metro and/or park in Metro<br />
parking lots are encouraged to enroll in the Metro SmarTrip program. This program<br />
provides benefits on a pretax basis. Contact the Office of Human Resource Services for<br />
more information about this alternative transportation program<br />
Use of <strong>Marymount</strong> <strong>University</strong> Vehicles<br />
<strong>Marymount</strong> <strong>University</strong> vehicles are for authorized use only while on the job, on behalf of<br />
<strong>Marymount</strong> <strong>University</strong> and as directed by a supervisor. Only a supervisor can authorize<br />
the use of a <strong>Marymount</strong> <strong>University</strong> vehicle after normal working hours. Hitchhikers,<br />
friends and other non-employees are not allowed to ride in <strong>Marymount</strong> <strong>University</strong><br />
vehicles for insurance reasons. All employees driving a <strong>Marymount</strong> <strong>University</strong> vehicle<br />
are subject to an annual review of their motor vehicle record. Further, all eligible drivers<br />
must be in compliance with the <strong>Marymount</strong> <strong>University</strong> driving policy and with applicable<br />
state and local laws at all times.<br />
Failure to report an accident, mechanically defective equipment, breakdown of equipment<br />
or a deliberate dishonest statement on any accident report required by <strong>Marymount</strong><br />
<strong>University</strong> may result in disciplinary action.<br />
