FIRST YEAR MOVE-IN INFORMATION<br />

When Do I Move In?<br />

• Freshmen who attended Summer Orientation can move into Residence Halls on<br />

Friday August 24th from 9am-4pm<br />

• Will I still be able to move in if I do not arrive by 4pm Friday? Yes you will<br />

still be able to move in anytime over the weekend we highly recommend that students<br />

arrive by Friday at 4pm so that you can attend the Welcome Weekend events<br />

• Freshman who are attending Orientation on Thursday can arrive to campus on<br />

Wednesday, August 22 between 10am and 4pm.<br />

Where Do I Check In?<br />

• Residents living in Berg Hall will check in at Ostapenko Hall<br />

• Residents living in Rowley will check in at the Rowley Lobby<br />

• Move-in day will be hectic and very busy. Just remember to be patient and<br />

calm! In order to help with the process, carts will be available to checkout at both<br />

check-in locations. Resident Assistants will also be around to answer your questions!<br />

Will there be any assistance available to help with moving?<br />

• Yes there will be a student Move in Crew to help students moving in<br />

• There will also be orange bins available for check out at the Rowley and Ostapenko<br />

front desks—you will just need to provide an ID to check out the bins.<br />

Roommates! Roommates! Roommates!<br />

Have a random roommate? Living with someone you met at SOS?<br />

If you are just meeting or thinking you know one another so well because of<br />

SOS….IT’S IMPORTANT TO HAVE THIS TALK…trust the housing experts!<br />

• Discuss expectations with one another. Talk about everything from sleeping<br />

habits to sharing items to having guests.<br />

• Create a roommate agreement! You can even give a copy to your RA for future<br />

reference.
