Française d’Ahmedabad. She
is accompanied by her younger
daughter. Her companion,
temporarily handling a senior
position in the Legal Dept. in
Polynesia, will join her as soon as
possible.
“I am very well aware of my profile slightly unusual for an Alliance
Française, but I know that I got selected by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs because of my long experience as an Administrator and
Manager. For the conventional missions of an Alliance Française,
namely the teaching of French language and organising events
to spread awareness on French and Francophone culture, I
know that I can rely on the knowledge and skills of the Alliance
Française staff, although I have some ideas to bring along. But
beyond my profile of civil service, I have entrepreneurial skills as
needed in the private sectors, and I wish that Alliance Française
will become a happening meeting place for locals, Indians, French
as well as other foreigners. In other words, I wish to continue
my predecessor’s efforts of good management to promote this
Alliance, reflecting the dynamism of the Indian state in which it

Participating in a conversation class can be instrumental in increasing your language
fluency as well as helps you in preparing for exams. Many students need the practice
and can benefit from this to improve their spoken, everyday French in a comfortable
environment. It’s a great confidence builder in addition to a skill builder.
This class will focus on a topic of discussion with a relevant vocabulary. Students can
discuss among themselves, in small group or large groups. It can be an enjoyable
experience that helps you increase your word-power and communication skills.

Dear grammar lovers, dear friends in difficulty, dear perfectionists,
We covered the structure of simple sentences, articles and the place adverbs during
our first session. We’ll continue with our revision of tenses and modes (Indicatif:
présent, futur simple, imparfait, passé composé; Subjonctif présent; Impératif
présent; Conditionnel présent and Gérondif). Finally we’ll tackle our first compound
sentences: ‘les propositions subordonnées relatives et les propositions subordonnées
conjonctives’. This should keep us busy enough! All are welcome: a good base makes
everything easy. Come, solve your doubts and go back strong!

becomes obsessed by Elena, the beautiful
but mysterious pianist, and starts to
photograph her at every opportunity. An
intense relationship develops between
fragile and idealistic Elena and Antoine,
who is transformed by this encounter.

gathering to explore, appreciate, cherish and promote the Western Classical Music

Vibrato provides a platform for young artists to portray their musical talent and
for all Amdavadis to taste the new flavour of music that is little explored hitherto.
Vibrato will be organised at regular intervals, throughout the year.

Correspondent Worldwide
OBJECTIVES of the CONFERENCE
This meeting is meant for teachers and students as well as all those who are
interested in professions related to journalism, particularly that of an International
Reporter. It aims at:
• discovering the story of an International Reporter, understanding the steps
needed to be taken and acquiring the qualities to achieve the goal.
• discovering the conditions under which this job is carried out: salary, legal
status, potential impacts on personal, family and conjugal life.
• understanding how the profession of a reporter has evolved during the past 40
years, with, for example, the proliferation of media and new opportunities as
much as competition ushered in by the Internet.
ABOUT THE JOURNALIST
Starting as a freelance journalist for several
magazines, radio and Le Monde, Patrice
Vanoni has been an International Reporter
and Correspondent in many countries for
several major French television channels
(TF1, Canal +, I TV, Arte) for 30 years.
He has made reports and documentaries
covering highly topical international issues:
wars and conflicts, particularly in Africa,
but also major political events, such as,
the last France-Africa Summit of the French
President François Mitterrand in Biarritz.
He also met many artists whom he covered.
Patrice Vanoni lived six years in Africa, four
years in India, ten years in the United States
and a year in Morocco.
Since late 2008, he has been serving
various French institutions with his rich
experience as an International Reporter. He
was Audiovisual Attaché at the Embassy of
France in India, seconded to Mumbai, then
Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of France to
the USA, seconded to Houston (Texas). Until
late 2013, he was Staff on Mission to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris.

boy struggling to contend with social awkwardness and

female respond favorably to him either: he suffers rejection
after rejection, until he draws some attention from gorgeous
and popular classmate Aurore (Alice Tremolieres). Suddenly,
with Aurore at his side, Hervé lands in the middle of the most
exclusive social circles, but finds himself surrounded by a series of wild and unruly characters.
Meanwhile, he struggles to contend with the emotional ups and down of a young adolescent.
