lor another downtown theatre, Red Roberts,<br />
former local band leader, now managing the<br />
dance palace, advised all bets were off. After<br />
closing for extensive modernization, the spot<br />
continues as a ballroom, with extra facilities<br />
added for convention purposes.<br />
Come July II, the Telenews Newsreel Theatre,<br />
I the sole such house in towm, unveils<br />
as the 12th such Telenews spot under Alfred<br />
Burger's flag, with Thurston Wayner managing.<br />
A recreation room boasting a radio<br />
station, newsreel programs running an hour,<br />
dally openings at 9:45 a. m., continuing to<br />
