. . Sam . . Frank . . Paul ^'^ OKLAHOMA CITY T^rs. Izah Adams's daughter graduated from the school of medicine of the University of Oklahoma this month. She is Dr. Carolyn Adams Hayes of Sulphur, wife of Dr. Marvin Bryant Hayes, who is with the Veterans hospital in Little Rock. It is believed that Sulphur is the only town in Oklahoma that has produced two women doctors. The other one graduated last year. Dr. Hayes will enter the Women's and Children's hospital in San Francisco. Mrs. Adams has the Ritz Theatre in Sulphur, and formerly was an Oklahoma City exhibitor. Griffith Theatres, Inc., has purchased the Plaza Theatre in Tulsa. The Plaza, Tulsa's first suburban theatre, located on the southside, was owned by Gen. Alva J. Niles. It was compltely rebuilt eight eyars ago after it was destroyed by fire. About the Griffith circuit: Bob Aldridge of the home office accounting department has returned from a two-week vacation at St. Louis . Stone of the same department also is back from his holiday, spent at home . . . Allen B. Dean, manager of the H&S Theatre at Chandler, was elected chairman of the Lincoln county chapter of the American Red Cross . . . Cuero, Tex.. Lions enjoyed a program at the Rialto Theatre, following their weekly noon luncheon, where the Cuero high school band was heard in a half-hour concert . Love jr., manager of the Tall Chief. Fairfax, was named first vice-president when the American Businessmen's club met recently. A. F. Hornbeck of Shawnee feted the women in the Griffith home office with a picnic at his lodge on the shore of Lake Shawnee. About 20 attended. Motor boating, soft ball and badminton furnished recreation . . . Mozelle Britten Dinehart, who grew up here but left at an early age to try her fortune on the stage and screen, is back in the old home town and is now a columnist. She is visiting relatives here. Her successful career included marriage to Alan Dinehart. Mrs. Dineharfs weekly comments on Hollywood affairs appear now in 15 papers, principally on the Pacific coa.st. While here Governor Turner commissioned her a full colonel on his staff. The Home Theatre has a new carpet wlUt' a leaf pattern in its lobby. The remainder of the theatre will be carpeted soon . . . Sally Dulany, ledger clerk at Paramount, and her daughter Sue left for Murphysboro, 111., to vacation two weeks . Rice. Paramount booker, has returned from his two-week holiday. He took his family to California and Texas. The city Paramount office has new fluorescent lighting. The exchange office also has been repainted and new flooring is to be installed within the next few days. Morris Loewenst«in, TOO president, met Hollywood and learned that a former Oklahoman. Sid Grauman in the famous showman is Grauman told Loewenstein that he remembers making the run in Oklahoma with his mother and father. His mother, he said, kept some property here for at)OUt 25 years, but finally let it go for taxes. It was located in the Capitol hill part of Oklahoma City. William P.
