I grew up in the piney woods of East Texas where a sewing machine was
the furthest thing from my mind. I played sports, loved being outdoors, and
most evenings you could find me riding my bike through the neighborhood. I
went off to Texas A&M in search of a business degree, but what I found was
a husband and a total disinterest in the corporate world (with that business
degree in hand).
The Christmas after I turned 20 I received a sewing machine for Christmas. No
instructions, no teacher, just a sewing machine. I stared at it, hoping it would
magically work, and much to my dismay, it didn’t. My sewing machine sat
on a shelf for the better part of two years, until one day I decided to figure it
out. I watched YouTube videos, read blogs, and went through a lot of scrap
fabrics before I found where to put the bobbin, how to thread the machine,
and how to set the tension straight!
Since then, I’ve found my passion in sewing and designing women’s garments.
Seeing myself transform a pile of fabric into something beautiful, such
as clothes, amazes me every single time. Creating the designs that are printed
on that fabric? Even more amazing and something I’ve dreamed of for a
long time! My style is an ever-evolving mix of classic feminine romance and
modern trends.
My husband and I reside in Fort Worth, TX with our fur baby, Sammie. In our
free time we love to go on trips, take our pup on walks, and create adventure
in our everyday life.
