DeBra Predicts Pictures Will Be More Mature MILWAUKEE—Increased concentration by motion picture producers on the making of mature films aimed at adults 30 years of age and older was predicted here recently by Arthur DeBra, New York, director of public relations for the Eric Johnston office. Speaking at a meeting of the Milwaukee County Better Films council, DeBra said that until recently the film industry tried mainly to appeal to the young adult group from 16 to 30. But now, he explained, "the growing group of older adults in the population and the current tightening economic conditions In the industry are changing the trend." DeBra pointed out that older adults are not interested in the simple "boy meets girl" situation, but prefer something real and something'to think about. The answer, he asserted, is more films like "The Forsyte Woman" and "The Heiress," mature In thought and action and having a "dramatic clutch."
