Both were built around the Christmas seal stamp used by the Tuberculosis Ass'n. In O'Brien's card, the stamp appeared as the picture on the screen in a replica of a theatre auditorium. Teare's card employed the film strip idea with the stamp tipped onto the center frame. With expansion of their key sales organizations, the Charles E. Hires Co. has appointed C. Duffield Clarke to manage the national accounts and head a newly organized vending machine division. Clarke was formerly operational executive for Hires in C. D. OoTke New York. Prior to that time he held managerial positions in various Hires plants around the country. Joseph Czink, veteran Bridgeport, Conn., motion picture theatre projectionist, has purchased the Liberty Theatre from the estate of the late Morris B. Kaufman. Ralston H. Coffin has taken over the direction of advertising for the Victor division of RCA, according to a recent announcement by Robert A. Seidel, vicepresident in charge of distribution. Coffin, who assumed his post last month, has been an account executive with McCann- ""** PRODUCT Erickson, Inc., for the last five years. In his new position, he will coordinate and £idminister RCA Victor's advertising and promotional activities. Neumade Products Corp. has opened new general offices in the McGraw-Hill building at 330 West 42nd St. in New York. The entire 14th floor of the building is used to consolidate all home office activities. The larger quarters also accommodate increased engineering facilities, Oscar F. Neu, company president, states. Blazing promotional trails in the drink vending equipment field, Cole-Spa is supplementing its regular tradepaper advertising with a consumer magazine campaign to tell John Q. Public the Cole-Spa story. The opening advertisement plays up the advantages of the dispenser to the consumer. The campaign is slated to appear in several national magazines in 1950.
