CHILDREN' S SERVICES
There will be special services
for children and parents this
Easter on Low Sunday, the
S unday after Easter.
At St. John the Evangelist
Co7nunity Centre the service will
be at 2.30 p.m.
At the Parish Church the
service will be held that evening
at 6.30 p.n. Parents, please be
present with your children.
The Annual General Meeting
of St. John's Co•nunity Centre will
be held on Adnesday ? April 13th
at 7.30 p.m. Nominations for the
Management Comitee should be
handed to Mr. Flinthan, 90, Queen
Elizabeth Rd. not later than 11th
April. All nominations should be
in writing and seconded.
Appreciation is expressed to
those who led at the Sunday
Evening Lenten groups, Catherine
Bowyer, Ken Parnhan, Ces Robinson,
David /ebb and Dick Rooke.
Attendance and participation
was good as the groups discussed
the links of thc people of God's
Church with themselves, the
comunity and the world.
Sone good ideas were thrown
up and we hope to put some into
effect in the future.

This is a sad letter for 7-le to write, for after ten very
happy years a-lencst you all at St. John' s the ti, has a:me for ine to go
to another parish.
The Pishop has asked re to co to St. Hugh' s, Old nruriby, : at Scunthorpe.
The details have not been arranged, but I anticinate that we
shall at least have the month of AuTnst with you all before we say
r:oodbyc.
It, is good to know that Scunthorpe isn't too far away, and
compared with Des Moines , it is of course ilk 7 bein: neyt door . The
Bishnp tells lie that he has a very fine young priest in -lird to succeed

stcae.fast and keep the good -ork roving forward. How lucky we arc to
have him at St. Jehnl s.
