SJBC Highlights<br />

- Kudos to the Ministry Coordinators who organized the Family Fun Day at<br />

Columbia Association Sports Park. There were nearly 50 members that gathered<br />

to fellowship and play miniature golf. It was a great time!<br />

- Little Children’s <strong>Church</strong> (LCC) will be taking the summer off<br />

Sun., June 30th– Sun., Aug. 25th<br />

- Thank you to our Revival Coordinator, Sis. Michelle Rhodesbrown, our ministries<br />

and our members, who helped this year’s Revival to be a spiritual blessing and<br />

<strong>Church</strong> Evacuation Overview<br />

In the event of an emergency you are requested to remain where you are in order to<br />

receive instructions on how to proceed.<br />

If we need to evacuate the building:<br />

1. Please follow the instructions of staff positioned along the way and head to the<br />

designated safe area.<br />

2. Parents please do not attempt to go and get your children if they are in Children’s<br />

<strong>Church</strong>. Once all children have been accounted for, you will be allowed to reunite<br />

with them.<br />

3. Please do not attempt to go to your car or to drive off the parking lot.<br />

4. Please remain in the designated safe area until instructions to return to the building<br />

are given.<br />

As you take your seat, please take a minute and familiarize yourself with<br />

where the exits are located.<br />

It’s time to build the 2014-2016 SJBC <strong>St</strong>rategic Plan. During the month of June, “Listening<br />

Sessions” are planned to gather your input and ideas so that the SJBC <strong>St</strong>rategic Plan reflects<br />

OUR collective direction for the church.<br />

“Listening Sessions for existing groups (Sacred Arts, Bible study groups, Golden Hearts,<br />

Ministry Coordinators and their respective ministry leaders, Deacons, Trustees and clusters) have<br />

already been arranged. If you are not a member of one of these groups however, your input is<br />

equally important. Please use the form below to sign up for one of the scheduled “Listening<br />

Sessions” for all members not in one of the listed groups. Pick the session you want to attend,<br />

SJBC <strong>Church</strong>-Wide Try The Tithe Campaign 2013<br />

<strong>To</strong>day Pastor Turner will launch our church-wide Try The Tithe campaign. One Sunday<br />

during each of the remaining 3 quarters will be designated Try The Tithe Sunday. On<br />

that Sunday, Pastor Turner will preach about tithing. Also on that Sunday, and during<br />

the subsequent week(s), select ministries will teach their members about this biblical<br />

principle. Pray that during this campaign, more members will come to understand<br />

tithing, trust God with their financial and life challenges and begin to tithe.<br />
