SJBC Highlights
- Kudos to the Ministry Coordinators who organized the Family Fun Day at
Columbia Association Sports Park. There were nearly 50 members that gathered
to fellowship and play miniature golf. It was a great time!
- Little Children’s Church (LCC) will be taking the summer off
Sun., June 30th– Sun., Aug. 25th
- Thank you to our Revival Coordinator, Sis. Michelle Rhodesbrown, our ministries
and our members, who helped this year’s Revival to be a spiritual blessing and

Church Evacuation Overview
In the event of an emergency you are requested to remain where you are in order to
receive instructions on how to proceed.
If we need to evacuate the building:
1. Please follow the instructions of staff positioned along the way and head to the
designated safe area.
2. Parents please do not attempt to go and get your children if they are in Children’s
Church. Once all children have been accounted for, you will be allowed to reunite
with them.
3. Please do not attempt to go to your car or to drive off the parking lot.
4. Please remain in the designated safe area until instructions to return to the building
are given.
We are so happy to have you worship with us today.
As you take your seat, please take a minute and familiarize yourself with
where the exits are located.
In the event of an emergency you will receive appropriate instructions from
the pulpit.

SJBC NEEDS YOUR INPUT
It’s time to build the 2014-2016 SJBC Strategic Plan. During the month of June, “Listening
Sessions” are planned to gather your input and ideas so that the SJBC Strategic Plan reflects
OUR collective direction for the church.
“Listening Sessions for existing groups (Sacred Arts, Bible study groups, Golden Hearts,
Ministry Coordinators and their respective ministry leaders, Deacons, Trustees and clusters) have
already been arranged. If you are not a member of one of these groups however, your input is
equally important. Please use the form below to sign up for one of the scheduled “Listening
Sessions” for all members not in one of the listed groups. Pick the session you want to attend,
complete the form below, place it in the collection basket or drop it in the basket at the front desk
when you leave church today. So get ready St John, we want to listen to you.

SJBC Church-Wide Try The Tithe Campaign 2013
Today Pastor Turner will launch our church-wide Try The Tithe campaign. One Sunday
during each of the remaining 3 quarters will be designated Try The Tithe Sunday. On
that Sunday, Pastor Turner will preach about tithing. Also on that Sunday, and during
the subsequent week(s), select ministries will teach their members about this biblical
principle. Pray that during this campaign, more members will come to understand
tithing, trust God with their financial and life challenges and begin to tithe.
