its Systems Integration and Application
Management expertise to help Spanish
regional Departments of Health serve their
citizens more effectively.
The Department of Health for the Valenciana
region (Consellería de Sanitat de la Generalitat
Valenciana), is responsible for a population of
over 5 million. It is relying on Steria to evolve
its Population Information System, used to
manage its records of public health service
users and model related requirements, and
so improve the planning and allocation of
resources within the administration. The new
system will allow the Department to keep
up with demographic changes, adapt to
EU legislative changes, and better serve its
citizens, through the more accurate allocation
of healthcare demand with available resources
in the region.
Statsbygg, the public construction and
property management body for Norway has
chosen Steria to provide a new information
management system for the construction
projects and properties under its care.
The main need is to improve internal and
external collaboration, access to, control and
sharing of information about construction
projects, through a common user-oriented
portal. This will enable greater cooperation
between all agents through the life cycle
of projects, from architectural inception
to completion and management. It will be
highly user-orientated, supporting diverse
competencies and document formats:
including 3D architectural drawings,
Geo/map software, and MS Word documents.
These will be seamlessly integrated through
the portal and ECM solution based on
Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and
EMC Documentum (enterprise content
management). The solution will also improve
cooperation between tenants, management
and suppliers for more than 2,300 buildings
that Statsbygg currently manages.
Steria are experts in mobile application,
with specialist expertise in developing Field
Service Management solutions to enhance
the mobility of essential operations. We are
now deploying this to transform the working
practices and customer service of a major
electricity supplier. The supplier, responsible
for most of metropolitan France, sought to
completely overhaul all its processes for
emergency repairs to its infrastructure, and
chose Steria to develop the systems and tools
to make this happen. This involves equipping
its 6,000 field force technicians with mobile
communication tools that optimise their
efficiency, manage the real-time flow of
information. The PDAs combine geographical
services to optimise journeys; synchronise and
manage data-flow securely; and coordinate
field force resourcing for more efficient
servicing. This industrial integrated system
keeps the field force in the field, allowing
them to deal with orders and emergencies
more quickly and efficiently.
