[Quoting: mvs sarma]
[Quoting: amit] Hi,I am using DB9 connector. reference circuit down. The program Enable
instruction on AT89S51 does not shows0x69 value on MOSI to confirm Programming
mode enabled. Can any bodu help?..........Moreover, I am reading 0xff values on alternate
byte addresses not on every byte address after chip erase.e.g. Address Data 0xfa 00 0xfb
0xff 0xfc 00 and so on, and this is conssitent for memory location.
Hi, Amit, you have not mentioned asto which driver software you are using for db9 socket
and programming 89S51.i wonder whether you have written a driver software. if so I would
be interested to test it .Sarma
I used at89prog s/w. That is written for AT89S8252. I changed the instruction set for
At89S51.
This project worked fine on Windows98 but as soon as I upgraded to WindowsXP, the
programmer is unable to identify the devices. What could be the problem, I used AT89S51.
What is the use of a system file included in the zip file. Please guide. Thanks & regards
I canot do this because my lap top doesn't have the parallel port, it has USB port.
This is the reason I had to re invent the wheel.
Can you help me, why i am not able to seee byte 0x69 on MISO on program enable
instruction?
Is the hardware connection for Reset is a problem?
The at89prog can be downloaded from http://jelmer.vernstok.nl/oss/at89prog/
its for Linux. You have build the executable with the makefile
You have build the executable with the makefileregardsAmit
i can't manage Linux as i am just new(at my 62nd year) as just started using fedoracore7.
on the other hand if you have winXP,you may try ponyprog at www.ponyprog.com
you study the schematics main and the one supporting 89s53. a combination of these two and
the software given by them will help you manage with the COM port.
I would also be interested in the outcome.
