Hi Amit, As I understand it byte 4 is DATA ,
if it is read mode itis output from, and if in write mode it is input to, the controller.
the mode is perhaps defined in byte 1

I am using DB9 connector. reference circuit down.

The program Enable instruction on AT89S51 does not shows
0x69 value on MOSI to confirm Programming mode enabled.
Can any bodu help?

Moreover, I am reading 0xff values on alternate byte addresses not on every byte address
after chip erase.
e.g. Address Data
0xfa 00
0xfb 0xff
0xfc 00
and so on, and this is conssitent for memory location.

Hi, Amit,
you have not mentioned asto which driver software you are using for db9 socket and
programming 89S51.
i wonder whether you have written a driver software. if so I would be interested to test it .
