8 Aircraft Ground Handling and Servicing<br />
Disassembling the wheels<br />
The wheels can be removed without disassembling the brake<br />
system. Remove the wheel spat retaining screws and withdraw the<br />
fairing upward (if fitted). Hoist the aircraft using a jack placed<br />
beneath the wheel axle bracket plate. Release and remove the<br />
wheel nut and the securing washer (discard washer). Release the<br />
brake hose retaining clamp and withdraw the whole wheel/brake<br />
assembly from the wheel axle. Remove the three brake disc fixing<br />
screws for separating brake system from wheel (not applicable with<br />
the REMOS Brake System installed).<br />

Assembling brakes and wheels<br />
Assembling is carried out in reverse order. After assembling <strong>ch</strong>eck<br />
thoroughly, for sufficient space between brake hose and tire, <strong>ch</strong>eck<br />
that the torque bolt has engaged to it’s retaining bolt at the axle<br />
bracket plate. Use a new securing washer and reassemble the wheel<br />
nut. If necessary bleed the brake system using the bleed valve.<br />
Install the wheel fairing (if desired), using Loctite 243 for securing all<br />
fixing screws.<br />
