8 Aircraft Ground Handling and Servicing<br />

8.3 100 hr Service<br />

The first after sales service has to carried out after 20 hours of flight<br />

time. Thereafter, every 100 hours or at least every 12 months the<br />

aircraft has to maintained following the REMOS maintenance<br />

<strong>ch</strong>ecklist.<br />

1. Visually <strong>ch</strong>eck the outer skin of the aircraft for scrat<strong>ch</strong>es, dents<br />

and other damage<br />

2. Change the engine oil (about 0.8 gallon) and the oil filter<br />

element<br />

3. Check for leaks and secure atta<strong>ch</strong>ment of all hoses, tubes and<br />

cable connections as well as for possible damage to the<br />

hoses, tubes and cables and fittings<br />

4. Perform maintenance of the engine per the engine<br />

manufacturers recommendations<br />

5. Visually <strong>ch</strong>eck the engine mounting frame and the proper and<br />

secure atta<strong>ch</strong>ment and location of all other components in the<br />

engine compartment<br />

6. Lubricate wing main bolts and horizontal stabilizer atta<strong>ch</strong>ment<br />

bolts, using regular grease<br />

7. Lubricate wings plastic ball joints, using regular grease<br />

8. Check all joints, bolts, nuts, splines for correct seating<br />

9. Field test of wheel brakes and inspect brake pads/discs for<br />

wear (ex<strong>ch</strong>ange if necessary)<br />

10. Check tires for correct air pressure, profile and entire surface<br />

for wear and damage<br />

11. Check wings, rudder, stabilizer and landing gear for damage<br />

and proper atta<strong>ch</strong>ment<br />

12. Check control cables and control linkage tubes for freeplay,<br />

damage or cracks<br />

13. Check propeller and spinner for cracks and other damage<br />

(replace if necessary)<br />

14. Check and lubricate tow release clut<strong>ch</strong> (if fitted).<br />
