2 Airplane and Systems Descriptions<br />

2.7 Basic Instrumentation<br />

The REMOS GX is available in the cockpit configurations<br />

“Explorer”, “Aviator I”, “Aviator II”. For all cockpit variants the<br />

compass is neatly arranged on the top of the panel, because of<br />

electro-magnetic reasons. If the aircraft equipped with an<br />

adjustable pit<strong>ch</strong> propeller, an electronic controller is integrated<br />

into the left cockpit panel always (not for ASTM aircraft certified<br />

in USA).<br />

The basic equipment of your REMOS GX consists of the<br />

following instruments: ASI, VSI, Altimeter, Slip Indicator and an<br />

analog Ta<strong>ch</strong>ometer. Optional it is possible to equip the aircraft<br />

with an electric artificial Horizon, Directional Gyro, Turn and<br />

Bank Indicator. Please refer to the appropriate manuals for<br />

detailed information.<br />

2.8 Control Panel<br />

Most of the major controls and swit<strong>ch</strong>es to operate the aircraft<br />

are combined on the central control panel. All swit<strong>ch</strong>es are<br />

labeled definitely.<br />

The following functions are contained:<br />

• Flap control lever (white)<br />

• Anti Collision Light (ACL)<br />

• Electric fuel pump<br />

• Navigation lights (wing & tail)<br />

• Instrument lighting<br />

• Landing light<br />

• Autopilot engage (optional)<br />

• Trim position indicator (LED, left)<br />

• Flap position indicator (LED, right)<br />

• Throttle control with friction lock<br />

• Charge tell tale for electric generator<br />

• Master- and Avionic swit<strong>ch</strong>es<br />

• Ignition lock / magneto <strong>ch</strong>eck<br />
